2.141.تِلْكَ أُمَّةٌ قَدْ خَلَتْ لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتْ وَلَكُم مَّا كَسَبْتُمْ وَلاَ تُسْأَلُونَ عَمَّا كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَ

2.141. Une telle génération a disparu. À elle ce qu'elle a acquis et à vous ce que vous avez acquis. Vous n'aurez donc nullement à répondre de leurs actes.

2.141 . Those are a people who have passed away ; theirs is that which they earned and yours that which ye earn . And ye will not be asked of what they used to do .

2.141. Tilka ommatun qad khalat laha ma kasabat walakum ma kasabtum wala tus-aloona AAamma kanoo yaAAmaloona

2.142.سَيَقُولُ السُّفَهَاء مِنَ النَّاسِ مَا وَلاَّهُمْ عَن قِبْلَتِهِمُ الَّتِي كَانُواْ عَلَيْهَا قُل لِّلّهِ الْمَشْرِقُ وَالْمَغْرِبُ يَهْدِي مَن يَشَاءُ إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ

2.142. Les insensés parmi les hommes ne tarderont pas à dire : «Qui les a donc détournés de la direction qibla vers laquelle ils s'orientaient pour la salât?» Dis-leur : «Orient et Occident appartiennent également à Dieu, qui dirige qui Il veut vers le droit chemin.»

2.142 . The foolish of the people will say : What hath turned them from the qiblah which they formerly observed? Say : Unto Allah belong the East and the West . He guideth whom He will unto a straight path .

2.142. Sayaqoolu alssufahao mina alnnasi ma wallahum AAan qiblatihimu allatee kanoo AAalayha qul lillahi almashriqu waalmaghribu yahdee man yashao ila siratin mustaqeemin

2.143.وَكَذَلِكَ جَعَلْنَاكُمْ أُمَّةً وَسَطاً لِّتَكُونُواْ شُهَدَاء عَلَى النَّاسِ وَيَكُونَ الرَّسُولُ عَلَيْكُمْ شَهِيداً وَمَا جَعَلْنَا الْقِبْلَةَ الَّتِي كُنتَ عَلَيْهَا إِلاَّ لِنَعْلَمَ مَن يَتَّبِعُ الرَّسُولَ مِمَّن يَنقَلِبُ عَلَى عَقِبَيْهِ وَإِن كَانَتْ لَكَبِيرَةً إِلاَّ عَلَى الَّذِينَ هَدَى اللّهُ وَمَا كَانَ اللّهُ لِيُضِيعَ إِيمَانَكُمْ إِنَّ اللّهَ بِالنَّاسِ لَرَؤُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ

2.143. C'est ainsi que Nous avons fait de vous une communauté du juste milieu afin que vous soyez témoins parmi les hommes et que le Prophète vous soit témoin. Nous n'avions fixé la direction vers laquelle tu t'orientais initialement que pour distinguer ceux qui suivraient le Prophète de ceux qui se détourneraient de lui. Certes, le changement de direction fut une épreuve difficile, mais pas pour ceux que Dieu conduit dans le droit chemin. Et ce n'est pas Dieu qui vous ferait perdre votre foi, car Dieu est Plein de bonté et de compassion pour les hommes.

2.143 . Thus We have appointed you a middle nation , that ye may be witnesses against mankind . and that the messenger may be a witness against you . And We appointed the qiblah which ye formerly observed only that We might know him who followeth the messenger , from him who turneth on his heels . In truth it was a hard ( test ) save for those whom Allah guided . But it was not Allah ' s purpose that your faith should be in vain , for Allah is full of pity , Merciful toward mankind .

2.143. Wakathalika jaAAalnakum ommatan wasatan litakoonoo shuhadaa AAala alnnasi wayakoona alrrasoolu AAalaykum shaheedan wama jaAAalna alqiblata allatee kunta AAalayha illa linaAAlama man yattabiAAu alrrasoola mimman yanqalibu AAala AAaqibayhi wa-in kanat lakabeeratan illa AAala allatheena hada Allahu wama kana Allahu liyudeeAAa eemanakum inna Allaha bialnnasi laraoofun raheemun

2.144.قَدْ نَرَى تَقَلُّبَ وَجْهِكَ فِي السَّمَاء فَلَنُوَلِّيَنَّكَ قِبْلَةً تَرْضَاهَا فَوَلِّ وَجْهَكَ شَطْرَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَحَيْثُ مَا كُنتُمْ فَوَلُّواْ وُجُوِهَكُمْ شَطْرَهُ وَإِنَّ الَّذِينَ أُوْتُواْ الْكِتَابَ لَيَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّهِمْ وَمَا اللّهُ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ

2.144. Nous t'avons vu souvent interroger le ciel du regard. Aussi t'orientons-Nous dorénavant vers une direction que tu agréeras sûrement. Tourne donc ta face vers la Mosquée sacrée ! Et vous, croyants, où que vous soyez, tournez-vous dans cette même direction ! Quant à ceux qui ont reçu l'Écriture, ils savent parfaitement que cette vérité émane du Seigneur qui n'est point inattentif à leur comportement.

2.144 . We have seen the turning of thy face to heaven ( for guidance , O Muhammad ) . And now verily We shall make thee turn ( in prayer ) toward a qiblah which is dear to thee . So turn thy face toward the Inviolable Place of Worship , and ye ( O Muslims ) , wheresoever ye may be , turn your faces when ye pray ) toward it . Lo! those who have received the Scripture know that ( this Revelation ) is the Truth from their Lord . And Allah is not unaware of what they do .

2.144. Qad nara taqalluba wajhika fee alssama-i falanuwalliyannaka qiblatan tardaha fawalli wajhaka shatra almasjidi alharami wahaythu ma kuntum fawalloo wujoohakum shatrahu wa-inna allatheena ootoo alkitaba layaAAlamoona annahu alhaqqu min rabbihim wama Allahu bighafilin AAamma yaAAmaloona

2.145.وَلَئِنْ أَتَيْتَ الَّذِينَ أُوْتُواْ الْكِتَابَ بِكُلِّ آيَةٍ مَّا تَبِعُواْ قِبْلَتَكَ وَمَا أَنتَ بِتَابِعٍ قِبْلَتَهُمْ وَمَا بَعْضُهُم بِتَابِعٍ قِبْلَةَ بَعْضٍ وَلَئِنِ اتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَاءهُم مِّن بَعْدِ مَا جَاءكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ إِنَّكَ إِذَاً لَّمِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ

2.145. Quelles que soient les preuves que tu fourniras à ceux qui ont reçu l'Écriture, ils n'adopteront pas ton orientation qibla, pas plus que toi tu n'adopteras la leur. D'ailleurs, aucun d'eux-mêmes n'est disposé à adopter celle de l'autre. Si donc tu te laissais tenter par leurs caprices, malgré la science que tu as reçue, tu ferais certainement partie du contingent des injustes.

2.145 . And even if thou broughtest unto those who have received the Scripture all kinds of portents , they would not follow thy qiblah , nor canst thou be a follower of their qiblah ; nor are some of them followers of the qiblah of others . And if thou shouldst follow their desires after the knowledge which hath come unto thee , then surely wert thou of the evil doers .

2.145. Wala-in atayta allatheena ootoo alkitaba bikulli ayatin ma tabiAAoo qiblataka wama anta bitabiAAin qiblatahum wama baAAduhum bitabiAAin qiblata baAAdin wala-ini ittabaAAta ahwaahum min baAAdi ma jaaka mina alAAilmi innaka ithan lamina alththalimeena
