3.156.يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ لاَ تَكُونُواْ كَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَقَالُواْ لإِخْوَانِهِمْ إِذَا ضَرَبُواْ فِي الأَرْضِ أَوْ كَانُواْ غُزًّى لَّوْ كَانُواْ عِندَنَا مَا مَاتُواْ وَمَا قُتِلُواْ لِيَجْعَلَ اللّهُ ذَلِكَ حَسْرَةً فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ وَاللّهُ يُحْيِـي وَيُمِيتُ وَاللّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ

3.156. Ô vous qui croyez ! N'imitez pas l'exemple de ces infidèles qui disent de leurs frères morts en voyage ou à la guerre : «S'ils étaient restés avec nous, ils ne seraient pas morts, ou ils n'auraient pas été tués.» Cette idée, Dieu a voulu en faire un sujet de chagrin pour eux, car, en réalité, Dieu seul donne la vie et la mort, et observe clairement tous vos actes.

3.156 . O ye who believe! Be not as those who disbelieved and said of their brethren who went abroad in the land or were fighting in the field : If they had been ( here ) with us they would not have died or been killed ; that Allah may make it anguish in their hearts . Allah giveth life and causeth death ; and Allah is Seer of what ye do .

3.156. Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la takoonoo kaallatheena kafaroo waqaloo li-ikhwanihim itha daraboo fee al-ardi aw kanoo ghuzzan law kanoo AAindana ma matoo wama qutiloo liyajAAala Allahu thalika hasratan fee quloobihim waAllahu yuhyee wayumeetu waAllahu bima taAAmaloona baseerun

3.157.وَلَئِن قُتِلْتُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ أَوْ مُتُّمْ لَمَغْفِرَةٌ مِّنَ اللّهِ وَرَحْمَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِّمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ

3.157. Par ailleurs, que vous soyez tués au service de Dieu ou que vous soyez morts de mort naturelle, le pardon et la miséricorde de Dieu ne sont-ils pas plus précieux que toutes les richesses que vous pouvez accumuler?

3.157 . And what though ye be slain in Allah ' s way or die therein? Surely pardon from Allah and mercy are better than all that they amass .

3.157. Wala-in qutiltum fee sabeeli Allahi aw muttum lamaghfiratun mina Allahi warahmatun khayrun mimma yajmaAAoona

3.158.وَلَئِن مُّتُّمْ أَوْ قُتِلْتُمْ لإِلَى الله تُحْشَرُونَ

3.158. Que vous mouriez de mort naturelle ou que vous soyez tués, n'est-ce pas que c'est devant votre Seigneur que vous serez tous rassemblés?

3.158 . What though ye be slain or die , when unto Allah ye are gathered?

3.158. Wala-in muttum aw qutiltum la-ila Allahi tuhsharoona

3.159.فَبِمَا رَحْمَةٍ مِّنَ اللّهِ لِنتَ لَهُمْ وَلَوْ كُنتَ فَظّاً غَلِيظَ الْقَلْبِ لاَنفَضُّواْ مِنْ حَوْلِكَ فَاعْفُ عَنْهُمْ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ وَشَاوِرْهُمْ فِي الأَمْرِ فَإِذَا عَزَمْتَ فَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللّهِ إِنَّ اللّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَوَكِّلِينَ

3.159. C'est par un effet de la grâce de Dieu que tu es si conciliant envers les hommes, car si tu te montrais brutal ou inhumain avec eux, ils se seraient tous détachés de toi. Sois donc bienveillant à leur égard ! Implore le pardon de Dieu en leur faveur ! Consulte-les quand il s'agit de prendre une décision ! Mais, une fois la décision prise, place ta confiance en Dieu, car Dieu aime ceux qui mettent en Lui leur confiance !

3.159 . It was by the mercy of Allah that thou wast lenient with them ( O Muhammad ) , for if thou hadst been stern and fierce of heart they would have dispersed from round about thee . So pardon them and ask forgiveness for them and consult with them upon the conduct of affairs . And when thou art resolved , then put thy trust in Allah . Lo! Allah loveth those who put their trust ( in Him ) .

3.159. Fabima rahmatin mina Allahi linta lahum walaw kunta faththan ghaleetha alqalbi lainfaddoo min hawlika faoAAfu AAanhum waistaghfir lahum washawirhum fee al-amri fa-itha AAazamta fatawakkal AAala Allahi inna Allaha yuhibbu almutawakkileena

3.160.إِن يَنصُرْكُمُ اللّهُ فَلاَ غَالِبَ لَكُمْ وَإِن يَخْذُلْكُمْ فَمَن ذَا الَّذِي يَنصُرُكُم مِّن بَعْدِهِ وَعَلَى اللّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكِّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ

3.160. Si Dieu vient à votre secours, nul ne pourra vous vaincre , et s'Il vous abandonne, qui donc, en dehors de Lui, pourra vous secourir? Que les croyants mettent donc leur confiance en leur Seigneur !

3.160 . If Allah is your helper none can overcome you , and if He withdraw His help from you , who is there who can help you? In Allah let believers put their trust .

3.160. In yansurkumu Allahu fala ghaliba lakum wa-in yakhthulkum faman tha allathee yansurukum min baAAdihi waAAala Allahi falyatawakkali almu/minoona
